Using advanced architectural techniques and input from contemporary "design minds", the neo-Renaissance style telephone exchange offices built in 1929 have been reincarnated into a multi-functional commercial facility aiming to revitalize the region.
The details of this historic building, such as the high set skylights and the soft lines of the staircase, were retained while the introduction of an illuminated chapel, chandeliers and mirrors, etc, breathes in new life and emphasizes the contrast with the existing building rendering a successful presentation of the synergy throughout the entire facility.
The marble used in the interior, the flooring and lighting fixtures (chandeliers, etc.) were acquired direct from Shanghai by the owners and the interior design people in order to reduce costs.
