The new development and production site of one of the world's leading robot/welding machine manufacturers. Utilizing the site to its full potential, this building is divided into four zones housing the production, development and distribution operations as well as the various office and welfare functions that support them.
To begin with, in order to increase production capability, all assembly operations were aggregated onto one floor, while component storage and processing operations were placed in a vertical flow line configuration connected by elevators to create an efficient working environment. In the office operations zone, the service core and office rooms are configured around the light-court, allowing workers to stay connected with the outdoors while undertaking their various duties. Furthermore, in order to support safe and efficient business operations, the building adopts a floating foundation that does not use piles, which serves to minimize inter-annual displacement from the peripheral foundations even though it is built on reclaimed land. The facility realizes a highly reliable power supply through an extra high-voltage lead-in cable with auxiliary cables, and endeavors to minimize its impact on the environment through the use of a temperature stratified air conditioning system and gray-water usage, etc.
