This complex facility houses a broadcasting station, a theatre and a museum. The construction project was extremely difficult as it was undertaken while preserving the numerous confirmed 7th and 8th century remains on-site.
The configuration of the individual facilities expresses the distinctive characteristics of each. The broadcasting station expresses the functionality of its facilities such as the studio hall while the museum, as public facility, has an impressive fusiform shape. The atrium, an approach space for the overall complex that serves to connect the two wings, is spherical.
In addition, the "Boat with a sail full of wind" motif that puts one in mind of the "Water Capital Osaka" expresses the harmony of the complex.
