This building was built as a research and development facility for one of the world's leading lightning solutions manufacturers as part of Amagasaki's Ryoku-yu Green City Center Re-Development project. The facility is comprised of laboratories and development rooms, etc, dedicated to the research and development of lightning/surge protection products. The ceiling of the laboratory, which is equipped with a lightning generation device, is more than 10m high. Making full use of the site's location, the southern face of the building, which faces the JR Tokaido railway line, has a highly visible color configuration that enhances the company's appeal, while the vertical and horizontal configuration is designed to accommodate future extensions. The facility houses a lightning museum and is open to the community.
