The Takamastsu Cultural Arts Hall (also called "Sunport Hall Takamatsu") is a public hall for a new era that exploits the characteristics of the region and the individual users to "Support the creative activities of the community" and "Establish culture in everyday life".
Located in the lower levels of the Takamatsu Symbol Tower at the center of the Sunport Takamatsu redevelopment district near JR Takamatsu station, the facility houses three halls and the "Art Village" (a name given to the rehearsal rooms and practice rooms) with elevators and storage space incorporated into the design so that all halls can be used simultaneously without any adverse effect on performances.
The 1st floor communications plaza serves as the "face" of this facility sending out event guides and other information. The 180m2 Citizen's Gallery with 3.4m high ceiling is available for rental in one-day units and can be used for exhibitions showing citizen's creative activities. In addition, many works by artists associated with the region have been placed in the foyer and rooftop spaces.
