Designed along the concept of an "Environmentally Friendly All IP Building", this is NTT Data's first building consisting predominantly of office space. This concept is realized through the implementation of diverse energy saving products and technologies, and the configuration of integrated LANs using optic fiber.
The impression of the building is a "Symbolic Glass Tower". The building has an entrance connected directly to the JR Shinagawa Station via a pedestrian deck. Restaurants and retail outlets are located on the 1st and 2nd floors, while floors 3 through 5 offer rental conference rooms. Floors 8 through 21 provide office space and floors 22 through 27 are data center compatible floors.
Features of functionality include the centralized control of building facilities through LONWORKS, precast concrete curtain wall with fitted heat-reflecting glass + external heat insulating outer walls, utilization of heat from district heating and cooling (DHC) as a heat source, and a vibration suppression structure that uses oil dampers.
As the building is in the immediate vicinity of the Shinagawa re-development area in which the NTT Shinagawa Twins Annex building already stands, the possibility of utilization of the entire area through coordination within the NTT group is also an important point.
