Built on the island district of Nakanoshima, an area fast becoming the heart of Osaka's information culture, this large-scale broadcasting station incorporates four television studios, five radio studios and a three-hundred seat open recording hall.
With the regeneration of "Osaka - The Waterways Capital of Japan" in mind, the facility was designed to open onto the riverside.
The "River Deck", a public area set up on the third floor of the facility, provides a focal point for the district,
while the 10th floor rooftop garden, Sky Terrace, enhances the allure of the waterside location.
Within the verticalized configuration of the broadcasting station, clear and functional cross-sectional zoning and security zoning systems have been established for the different areas for customers, production studios, broadcasting, general administration, etc.
In addition, as the first large-scale broadcasting facility to adopt a seismic isolation structure, this facility is well prepared to cope with natural disasters.
