Planned as an integrated re-construction project at the site of the old Dojunkai Daikanyama Apartments (36 buildings), this building was designated the "Daikanyama District - Type 1 Urban Re-Development Project". The apartment complex contains 501 dwelling units, a commercial facility with 36 stores, the Shibuya-ku sports facility with heated indoor pool, the Daikanyama substation for the Tokyo Electric Power Company, and an underground car park with capacity for 468 vehicles.
The overall district is designed to be an "open" area, and there are pedestrian spaces and green areas in the walkways of the external areas of the site. Furthermore, the scenery of the district is markedly clear due to the removal of all overhead power lines.
