The Kozawa Eye Hospital has 100 years of history and offers the latest in opthalmological treatments. With this project, the Kozawa Eye Hospital was transferred to a new premises.
Aiming to create a reliable patient oriented "People friendly hospital" and a "A rationally built hospital", earth colored stoneware split face tiles were used for the exterior while wood was used throughout the interior to create a finish easy on the eye that would be appreciated by the local community for years to come. In addition, the building configuration is such that outpatients can receive all diagnosis and treatment on the 1st floor.
Furthermore, as eye patients can become sensitive to sound, "quiet" tile carpets are used in the hospital wards and artwork has been installed to alleviate tension. The examination rooms have been fitted with raised flooring to accommodate the rapidly evolving examination equipment.
Through enhanced flexibility and maintainability and the careful consideration given to hygiene management, this environment will contribute to the future provision of high quality medical care.
