This 8-story office building, constructed in the Urawa ward of Saitama-shi, stands next to an existing telecommunications facility. The construction schedule was shortened and low costs were achieved through the omission of a basement level and the unitization of most of the exterior walls.
For the configuration of the standard floors, the communal areas have been kept compact and functional to secure a vast office space of 1,600m2, which can in turn accommodate a wide variety of office activities. Furthermore, this space can be partitioned into sections approximately 500m2 to accommodate tenants.
Communal areas such as the entrance and elevator halls are decorated in a unified monochrome theme to achieve a calm interior with a high-quality ambiance.
In order to minimize the impact and achieve a harmony with the surrounding area, the exterior design attempts to understate the volume of the building by making partial use of a glass curtain wall to integrate the sky and surrounding scenery, and create a facade that reflects the cherry-blossom trees lining the street.
