Kazekodachi-no-kawabe Shimeikan is a hot-spring hotel surrounded by nature and situated along the Yubiso River in the Minakami hot spring area. It is one of three corporate recreation facilities that were reopened at the same time after renovations as hotels/inns that also accommodate the general public. (⇒ Please refer to Kinunokeikoku Hekiryu and Goura Kazenone for details.)
With the concept of a "peaceful cottage," the interior design incorporates western style decorations which highlight the textures of stone and wood. The plaid pattern is used as an accent on the furniture and signage. The former Japanese-style guestrooms have been transformed into western style which incorporate the woodgrain furniture and iron artwork with rich textures. Since an increasing number of visitors come to the Minakami area to enjoy active sports in nature, such as snowboarding in the winter and rafting in the summer, dog-friendly guest rooms are also offered for the guests to further indulge in the natural environment to their heart's content.
